We source our colostrum from grass-fed, pasture-raised farms across the US. It’s free from pesticides, heavy metals, antibiotics, and hormones. And it’s cold-processed to keep the fragile immunoglobulins and other nutrients intact.

While colostrum does contain a minimal amount of lactose, it is generally well-tolerated by people who are lactose intolerant. We suggest that people who are lactose intolerant speak with their healthcare provider before supplementing with colostrum.

Yes, all dairy products (including colostrum) contain casein. We do not recommend taking Bio-Avail Colostrum+ if you have a casein sensitivity or allergy. 

No. The pasture-based farms we source colostrum from understand the importance of colostrum to developing calves. The calves are fed 2–4 liters of colostrum shortly after birth. New mothers often produce more than 12 liters, so the farmers can harvest this excess colostrum without harming the calves. 

Lactoferrin is naturally present in colostrum at 0.3-0.5%. This equals 3-5 mg per gram, or 7.5-12.5 mg per our 2.5 gram serving. However, Bio-Avail Colostrum+ also includes 100 mg of pure lactoferrin—yielding a total of 107.5 to 112.5 mg of lactoferrin per serving. This is far higher than other colostrum products that do not contain additional lactoferrin.

SO Hopeful!
